Brenda Dicus Baptized
On Sunday, April 26, 2008, in the presence of the St. Mary's family and community
friends, Brenda Louise Dicus was baptized and received into the Body of Christ. Sponsors were Frost Claibourne, Fritz
Danielus and Mariuna Morrison. A reception was held in the parish house following the service.
On Sunday, April 13, Jim and Penny Donaldson renewed
their marriage vows in the company of their "St. Mary's family" at the 10 am Eucharist. A brunch followed.
Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Day were active for members of St. Mary's, their
families, friends and visitors. It began with Palm Sunday and a procession around the church, continuing with the traditional
Good Friday Ecumenical Service at Asbury United Methodist Church and concluding with the baptism of Kelsey Holman and celebration
of Christ's resurrection on Easter Day.
On 15 December 2007 the Wicomico Composite Squadron
partnered with the Salisbury American Legion Post 64 to conduct the "Wreaths Across America" Ceremony at St. Mary's Episcopal
Church in Tyaskin,
MD. In excess of 70 people
were in attendance to carry out the purpose of this event: "Remember the Fallen; Honor those who serve; Teach our
children the value of freedom."
